In the early hours of Wednesday Morning, Police Lieutenant Colonel Pasagorn and a team of undercover Pattaya Police Officers conducted a raid of an Internet and Games Shop located at the Soho Square Plaza on Walking Street following reports that the shop was allowing users to use online gambling sites and slot machines in contravention of Thailand’s gambling laws. During the raid, Police checked computers which were loaded with Casino games whereby users could win money following credit card registration. There were also touch-screen consoles loaded with casino games.

The manager of the shop managed to escape before Police arrived leaving a gamer, Khun Pirasak aged 26 inside the shop. He was arrested and later charged with gambling. Khun Gititatt aged 44 is known to manage the shop and an arrest warrant has been issued in his name. The computers and consoles were seized as evidence and the investigation is on-going at this time.
