Football gambling arrests continue here in Pattaya and on Tuesday Night, Police Lieutenant Colonel Somshai from Chonburi Provincial Police, armed with two search warrants issued by the Pattaya Provincial Court visited two locations where football gambling operations were thought to be taking place. In the first case, Khun Boontam aged 20 was arrested at a house in Soi Yumet, Central Pattaya following a search of the property.

Details of a gambling operation involving bets totaling 1.5 Million Baht were taken from the house and the suspect was taken to Pattaya Police Station for processing. He will appear in court early next week to face charges of gambling. In the second case, Khun Kunjit aged 36 was arrested at the Jumbo Furniture Shop on the Tepprasit Road in Jomtien.

A laptop computer and football gambling sheets were confiscated along with an unlicensed firearm and bullets. This particular gambling operation was thought to involve bets totaling 67,000 Baht. Khun Kunjit was charged with gambling along with firearms offences and will also appear in court early next week.
